Video: building a channel to 45K subscribers

I planned, scripted, presented, edited and published everything on the Sweat Wallet YouTube channel: a co-hosted Q&A series, livestreamed prize draws, interviews, conference panels and Shorts.

Context

Sweat Economy had plenty to say, but most of it was said in writing. Prize draws, product launches and conference talks were big moments that deserved to be seen, and a growing community wanted to hear directly from the people behind the product. Many viewers were also new to crypto, so the content had to explain as well as announce.

The challenge

Build a channel that could carry everything from a long-form Q&A to a sixty-second Short, keep it going for years, and do it without a dedicated video team.

What I did

I treated the channel as a set of formats, each with its own job. Long-form gave the community depth and direct access to leadership. Livestreams turned big moments into shared, transparent events. Shorts reached people who had never heard of us.

I worked across the whole process: planning and scripting, presenting on camera, editing in DaVinci Resolve, CapCut and Remotion, then titles, thumbnails, publishing and promotion across X, Discord and Telegram.

Video started with trust. In 2023 every headline prize was drawn live on YouTube, from an iPhone 14 Pro Max in January to Chief Walking Officer in April, so the community could watch winners being picked at random instead of taking our word for it.

In 2024 the channel widened to the product and the wider industry. Release videos like the Sweat Wallet facelift and demos like sending BNB showed features working, and Meeting of the Minds brought in voices such as NEAR co-founder Illia Polosukhin and David Wachsman.

Conferences became content too. From Token2049 Singapore I published the keynote and panel discussions, followed by talks from GeckoCon and, in 2025, a live reveal of Mia and Multichain with Bitget at the Dubai Esports Festival.

In 2026 I launched Five in Ten with Founder & CEO Oleg Fomenko: twelve episodes between May and September, each putting the community's questions to Oleg. I cut the strongest moments into Shorts, so one recording fed two formats.

The best-performing Short was a simple demo of sending BNB from Sweat Wallet, which reached 126K views. Practical content that showed the product working consistently beat pure announcements.

Results

The channel grew from zero to 45.5K subscribers and 827K views across 91 videos, counting long-form, Shorts and livestreams. Its most-watched Short reached 126K views, the Token2049 keynote passed 11K, and livestreamed draws drew up to 8.6K views each.

Those figures only count YouTube. The same videos were also posted on X and other platforms, where they drew hundreds of thousands more views.

Over three years it became the place to see Sweat Economy's biggest moments, hear from its leadership and learn how the product works.

Every format had a job. Long-form built trust, livestreams proved fairness, and Shorts brought new people in.
